How to Sponsor Us

We invite you to become a sponsor of
Confluence: Willamette Valley LGBT Chorus

Confluence proudly enters its Twelfth Season. We have grown in size and musical excellence over the years while honoring our original purpose and mission—to build bridges and honor diversity through affirming the lives of LGBT and allied supporters in our music and community activities.

Society’s acceptance of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered people has increased substantially over the last few years, but there is still a long way to go for full equality. Awareness and acceptance can be increased by continued visibility of LGBT individuals participating in creative activities reflecting unity through diversity.

Audiences are used to attending concerts of people of various ages and, often, mixed ethnicity. All of these differences seem immediately visible. However, most audiences are not used to having a group standing in front of them with not only the visible diversities, but also the less apparent diversity of varied sexual and gender identities. What better way to illustrate the power of unity with diversity than presenting music with one voice?

Since music touches both hearts and minds, Confluence Chorus members become ambassadors of diversity by extending their positive message of harmony. We welcome corporations, businesses, and individuals to join us in that effort. We have built a loyal following over the years, which typically will go out of their way to support businesses and corporations that support us.

Our audiences fit into this national demographic

  • Average annual income is $50,126
  • 78% have college degrees
  • 28% have incomes in excess of $100,000
  • 58% hold management positions
  • 19% own their own business
  • 48% are college educated; 22% hold graduate degrees
  • 87% will "go out of their way to buy products that advertise to gay consumers."

Levels of Sponsorship and Benefits—2011-2012 Concert Season

Bridge Builder $2000 (exclusive to a single sponsor)

This level helps fund scholarships for potential chorus members who are not able to afford the membership fees and expenses of transportation to and from rehearsals, regular concerts, and outreach concerts, and also helps preclude the necessity of raising membership fees in the future to sustain our operating budget. Sponsors receive prominent mention on the title page, a full page ad on the back cover of all three concert programs, mention in press releases and publicity materials as well as on the Confluence website homepage, and four complimentary season tickets. There is only one Bridge Builder sponsor each season.

Peacemakers $1500

This level helps fund the overhead expenses for a single concert—rental of the performance space, advertising and printing; and refreshments for intermission. Sponsors receive name or logo on the concert program title page and Confluence website, a full page ad on the inside of all three concert programs, and four complimentary season tickets.

Music Lovers $1000

This level helps purchase new music for the chorus for this and future seasons. Copyrighted choral sheet music is expensive and subject to strict regulations on copying. Sponsors receive name or logo on the concert program title page and Confluence website, a half page ad in all three concert programs, and two complimentary season tickets.

Proud Patrons $500

This level supports the operating budget. Ticket sales and dues support only two-thirds of our expenses. We rely on individual donations, advertising, and sponsors to help sustain our commitment to our music and our mission. Sponsors receive name or logo on the concert program title page and Confluence website, a quarter page ad in all three concert programs, and two complimentary season tickets.
